Create a custom security role in ConnectWise Manage

This step is optional but is recommended as best practice.

Overview

HeyHappy does not need access to all your ConnectWise data, only some basic information. To limit what data HeyHappy has access to, we recommend creating a custom Security Role. This is an optional step, if you do not want to create a custom Security Role, you can use the built in Admin role.

To create the Security Role simply follow the steps outlined below.

  1. In ConnectWise Manage, go to System -> Security Roles.

  2. Create a new security role called HeyHappy and Save.

  3. Open the newly created HeyHappy role and set the following permissions based on the tables below.

  4. Click Save and Close, then proceed to Setting up ConnectWise Manage API Authentication.
